Earlier this year my oil painting of Annie Power and Ruby Walsh at Cheltenham was auctioned in aid of three charities in memory of Richard Woolacott at a Chltenham Festival Preview event. Mind, The Injured Jockeys Fund and the Devon Air Ambulance benefited from all the money raised on the night.
Since April this year my work has been available in the newly refurbished West Cork Crafts shop in Skibbereen. I have small original paintings, the full selection of limited edition prints, calendars and cards all of which have been selling well. There are over 30 makers with work available and all made in West Cork. It is a beautiful shop and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
I will be exhibiting with the Society of Equestrian Artists 'Horse In Art' exhibition in Tuxford in September. It may only be two or three paintings as I have been busy with commissioned work. More details will follow on the exhibition closer to the time.
Art classes will commence Wednesday 5th September 7.30-9.30pm (7 weeks) in Rosscarbery (social centre) this is a popular class and spaces are limited, if you wish to attend please get in touch. Reenascreena Thursday morning class 10.15-12.15 will start on 13th September and run for 8 weeks.
I am currently accepting commissions for Christmas, it is a good time to get in touch especially if it is an oil painting! The thumbnail image is a painting commissioned last Christmas of top show jumping pony 'Cul Ban Mistress' and rider Kate Derwin, it was presented to Kate at an awards ceremony and was a gift from Clive Sindell owner of Cul Ban Mistress.
